San Mateo Catio Build for Savannah Cats

This completed custom catio project was designed and built by Cat Topia. This cat enclsoures goal is to provide a secure and engaging outdoor space for two Savannah cats in San Mateo. Built with high-quality redwood lumber, the catio offers plenty of room for the cats to explore and enjoy their surroundings. Featuring ramps, shelves, and a tunnel, the catio was tailored to suit the cats’ active nature while ensuring safety. Materials were carefully selected for durability and aesthetic appeal, enhancing both the cats’ experience and the homeowner’s outdoor space.

Catio

The goal of this project is to create a safe and dynamic outdoor space for two Savannah cats. Using high-quality redwood lumber and thoughtful design elements, this catio provides ample room for the cats to explore and enjoy their outdoor environment. Materials will be delivered directly to the customer’s address in San Mateo.

Redwood Lumber: The structure built using durable and weather-resistant redwood lumber, chosen for its longevity and aesthetic appeal.

Human-Sized Door: The catio includes a human-sized door for easy access to the enclosure, allowing the owner to interact with the cats and maintain the space with ease.

Staining: The redwood is stained to provide additional protection from the elements, ensuring a long-lasting, visually pleasing structure.

Shelving and Ramps: Four custom-built shelves and two cat ramps: installed to provide vertical space for climbing and perching, catering to the Savannah cats’ natural instincts for height and exploration.

Designed for Active Cats

Savannah cats are known for their high energy and love of exploration. This catio is designed to cater specifically to these traits, with vertical climbing structures, perching shelves, and a long tunnel for continuous movement and mental stimulation. The ramps and shelves ensure they have plenty of space to jump and climb, making the outdoor environment as stimulating and engaging as possible for them.

  • Weather-Resistant Design: With the corrugated metal roof and the stained redwood, the structure is built to withstand rain, sun, and various outdoor conditions, ensuring the cats can enjoy their space year-round.
