The Purrgola catio is built using pressure treated lumber. Have a different type of wood in mind? Cat Topia offers upgrades to use cedar or redwood. For cedar or redwood, we recommend staining the lumber to prevent the wood for discoloring. Pressure treated lumber is a great option since it is long lasting, and resistant to weather and insects.
